BIOGRAPHY

Linny Coale is an artist and designer of women's fashion accessories and fine art. Her hand painted silk fabrics are sewn into scarves, shawls, wraps and ponchos. She uses brilliant colors and bold contemporary designs to create original pieces of wearable art and paintings.

Linny earned her first B.F.A. degree in painting and printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute. She also studied graphic deisgn at Kendall College of Art and Design, where she finished her second B.F.A. degree. Linny worked for several years as a graphic artist and designer for production and animation studios specializing in multi-media presentaions. Her artistic inspirations led her to develope her talents as a textile artist and she started Coale Design, her creative identity in the fashion accessory and fine art world. Linny discovered the beauty and greatness of painting on silk and used that process to produce a unique line of fashion accessories for women. She is currently on the faculty at the Evanston Art Center - www.evanstonartcenter.org and the faculty at The Art Center of Highland Park - www.theartcenterhp.org.
